Vegetable Loader

Job Description

As a Vegetable Loader, your primary responsibility will be to load and unload vegetables from trucks, ensuring that all produce is handled with care. You will also be required to clean and prepare vegetables for packaging while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload vegetable shipments following company protocols.
• Prepare vegetables for sale, ensuring cleanliness and quality.
• Keep the loading area free of hazards and debris.
• Assist in inventory control by tracking incoming and outgoing produce.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets.
• Attend regular safety briefings and adhere to guidelines.
• Help train new staff on proper loading and unloading techniques.
• Maintain equipment used in vegetable handling.
• Ensure the accurate logging of produce delivered and dispatched.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant technical training is a plus

Experience

• Experience working on a farm or agricultural setting is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent
