Job Description

As a General Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting engineering projects. This includes assisting in the development, testing, and evaluation of components and systems in accordance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to engineering teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Conduct research to identify innovative engineering methods and materials.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication of project goals.
• Assist in the creation of detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of engineering solutions and suggest improvements.
• Help generate baselines for project scope and schedules.
• Maintain equipment and tools to ensure optimal functioning.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Help train and mentor new engineering staff.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in engineering support roles
