The Telegrapher will be responsible for operating and maintaining telecommunications equipment to send and receive messages and signals effectively. This role requires a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
Ensure operational readiness of telegraph equipment.
Adjust and calibrate equipment as necessary.
Respond promptly to communication breakdowns.
Maintain detailed logs of messages and equipment performance.
Assist in training new team members on equipment operation.
Perform emergency communication procedures as required.
Keep up-to-date with technological advancements in telecommunications.
Requirements
Education
Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
Certification in telecommunications or relevant field
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in telecommunication operations or telegraphy.
