Join our passionate team as a Pet Groomer in Durban! We are looking for someone who loves working with animals and has experience in grooming a variety of breeds. You’ll be responsible for bathing, styling, and caring for pets, ensuring they look their best and are comfortable during the grooming process.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of grooming tasks tailored to individual pet needs.
• Ensure all pets are properly restrained and monitored during grooming.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve grooming techniques.
• Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the salon.
• Provide feedback on new products and tools to enhance services.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pet care and grooming management course is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in professional grooming

Technical Skills

• Grooming product knowledge
• Behavior assessment of pets

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Time management

Certifications

• Grooming Academy Certification
• Pet CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior retail experience: Experience in a retail environment related to pet services or products.
• Skill in pet photography: Ability to capture professional photos of pets post-grooming for marketing purposes.
