Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support across various areas including corporate law, compliance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee legal compliance and risk management initiatives.
• Draft legal opinions and prepare reports for management.
• Assist in the management of legal claims and litigation.
• Support the business in all legal matters, fostering a culture of compliance.
• Ensure the adequacy of legal documentation and related processes.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent qualification in Law
• Postgraduate qualification in Law is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in legal practice, focusing on corporate and commercial law.

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
