Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients.
• Design patient-specific rehabilitation strategies and interventions.
• Provide direct patient care, demonstrating exercises and therapeutic activities.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercises.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Document treatment sessions and patient progress thoroughly and accurately.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to inform treatment decisions.
• Organize and facilitate workshops to promote health and wellness.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe therapy environment.
• Participate in professional development and continuous education opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
• Registration with HPCSA required

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in clinical settings is preferred

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

• Bilingual proficiency: Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is a plus, especially Afrikaans or Zulu.
