We're on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Durban. This role involves designing and implementing engineering solutions while collaborating on various projects. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have a strong understanding of industry standards. You will ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, addressing both technical and logistical challenges effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from conception to execution.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and plans.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align goals.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Provide training and support to junior engineers.
• Stay updated with the latest engineering technologies and innovations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• ProE/Creo
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Creative Problem Solving
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Registration
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in project management: Background in managing engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Skills in automation engineering: Experience in automating mechanical processes using modern tools.
