SOC Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive SOC Analyst to oversee our organization's security operations center. The successful candidate will be instrumental in monitoring security events, responding to incidents, and enhancing our security landscape through effective threat detection strategies.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess network vulnerabilities.
• Review security logs for suspicious activities.
• Develop security awareness training for staff.
• Conduct regular security audits with relevant teams.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity

Technical Skills

• Malware Analysis
• Firewall Configuration

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving

Certifications

• CEH
• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Forensic Analysis skills: Capable of conducting forensic analysis during security incidents.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.: Familiarity with GDPR or POPIA regulations.
