Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Social Worker to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide essential support and guidance to individuals and families in need, assisting them in overcoming challenges and improving their quality of life. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing intervention plans, and facilitating access to resources and services.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess client needs through interviews and observations.
• Create and manage individualized care plans and interventions.
• Provide emotional support and practical guidance to clients.
• Coordinate with various services to ensure comprehensive client care.
• Document all client interactions and maintain case files.
• Review and update client progress regularly.
• Educate clients about available resources and programs.
• Support community initiatives aimed at improving social welfare.
• Keep current with legislation and policies affecting social services.
• Mentor and train new employees and volunteers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Social Work or Psychology
• Master's in Social Work is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a social services environment.
