Accountant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Accountant to take charge of financial records and reporting in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in all financial transactions, assist in financial audits, and take part in strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes within the team.
• Oversee payroll processing and related compliance.
• Conduct monthly close processes to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare tax filings and manage relationships with tax authorities.
• Draft and manage internal controls and financial policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integrated financial planning.
• Respond to financial inquiries from management and stakeholders.
• Monitor changes in regulations that may affect financial practices.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Additional certifications (e.g., CFA) are advantageous

Experience

• 3-7 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles
