Furnace Operator

Job Description

A Furnace Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining furnaces to melt materials such as metals, glass, and ceramics. The operator ensures that all materials are melted to the correct temperature and consistency while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Adjust furnace settings based on product requirements and monitor melting processes.
• Conduct quality checks on the melted materials to ensure they meet specifications.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Technical certificate or diploma in a relevant field preferred

Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in furnace operations
