Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanitarian Aid Worker to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing humanitarian projects aimed at supporting vulnerable communities. You will work closely with local organisations and volunteers to ensure the effective delivery of assistance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of humanitarian relief efforts.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and guidelines in all program activities.
• Foster partnerships with government agencies and other NGOs.
• Oversee resource allocation and budget management for humanitarian projects.
• Facilitate community workshops and training programs.
• Implement monitoring systems to assess project impacts and outcomes.
• Conduct field visits to ensure project quality and adherence to timelines.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and community stakeholders.
• Compile and submit funding proposals to secure resources for ongoing projects.
• Report on progress to the Program Director and stakeholders.

• Experience with Funding Proposals: Familiarity with writing proposals to secure funding for humanitarian projects.
• Knowledge of Local NGO Landscape: Understanding of local NGOs and their roles within the community.
