We are seeking a qualified and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care for a wide range of animals, performing surgeries, diagnosing illnesses, and delivering preventive care. You will work closely with pet owners to provide education and advice on pet health and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized surgeries.
• Oversee the health and well-being of animals in the clinic.
• Act as a mentor to junior veterinary staff and interns.
• Develop treatment plans based on diagnostics.
• Participate in community outreach and education programs.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Surgery is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in various veterinary practices

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia management
• Emergency care

Soft Skills

• Team leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certificate in Veterinary Radiology
• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Conversational
