Job Description

We are on the lookout for an IT Support Technician to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, providing top-notch support and troubleshooting to our users. You will be responsible for maintaining hardware and software, assisting with installation and configuration, and responding to help desk tickets with professionalism and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage support tickets in a timely manner and provide updates to users.
• Support remote users with technical issues using remote desktop support tools.
• Work with vendors for warranty repairs and technical support.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential IT issues.
• Assist in network monitoring and maintenance.
• Participate in IT projects as required and contribute to planning sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Relevant certifications are preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in technical support roles

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• VoIP Systems

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

Languages

• English: Fluent
