Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to oversee our compliance and regulatory requirements in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding of local regulations and the ability to implement effective compliance programs. This role requires a proactive approach in identifying compliance risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Responsibilities

• Analyze regulatory changes and update compliance policies accordingly.
• Support internal audits and work with auditors to address findings.
• Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.
• Assist in the preparation of reports for regulatory agencies.
• Implement effective communication strategies for compliance issues.
• Participate in risk management initiatives and compliance committees.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related discipline
• Master's degree or advanced compliance training is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in compliance roles, preferably in the financial sector
