Plant Engineer

Job Description

The Plant Engineer will oversee the maintenance and performance of all machinery and equipment in our manufacturing plant, ensuring optimal operations to meet production goals. This position requires a strong technical background along with effective leadership skills to manage a team of technicians and maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
• Monitor the performance of machinery and implement improvements as needed.
• Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineering certification (ECSA) preferred

Experience

• 5-8 years in a manufacturing environment managing technical teams

Technical Skills

• PLC programming
• Maintenance Management Software

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Time management

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques: Expertise in using data analytics to foresee equipment failures.
