Job Description

We are looking for a Legal Advisor to enhance our legal team in East London. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal frameworks and provide comprehensive legal advice to clients. Key responsibilities include drafting legal documents, negotiating agreements, and ensuring adherence to legal standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence and legal audits on projects and transactions.
• Advise clients on legal rights and obligations in various jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with external legal counsels when necessary.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops on legal best practices.
• Prepare and submit required legal filings accurately and timely.
• Foster positive client relationships to better understand their legal needs.

Requirements

Education

• BA Law or equivalent qualification
• Postgraduate qualification in Law will be an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in legal practice or advisory.

Technical Skills

• Litigation Experience
• Regulatory Compliance

• Interpersonal Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Proficiency in preparing legal opinions: Ability to formulate clear and concise legal opinions for clients.
