Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law, including corporate, commercial, and compliance law. You will play a vital role in providing legal guidance and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and advise on employment contracts and related matters.
• Participate in negotiations and stakeholder meetings.
• Create and maintain legal templates for contracts and policies.
• Advise on intellectual property rights and related issues.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with outside legal advisors.
• Maintain a database of legal documents and contracts.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent qualification in Law
• Postgraduate qualifications in Law are an advantage

Experience

• 10+ years of comprehensive legal experience, including corporate governance and compliance

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in Commercial Disputes: Strong background in handling commercial litigation and arbitration cases.
