Compliance Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. You will support the organization in identifying compliance risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance investigations and manage compliance incidents.
• Analyze compliance data to identify trends and risks.
• Assist in the development of compliance strategies.
• Act as a point of contact for compliance inquiries.
• Evaluate third-party compliance and vendor risks.
• Ensure all compliance documents are up-to-date and accessible.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Professional certifications in compliance or risk management are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance

Technical Skills

• Compliance Auditing
• Policy Development

• Analytical Skills
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)
• Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a regulatory agency: Experience working in a regulatory environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in compliance management software: Experience using compliance management systems and tools.
