Job Description

We are looking for skilled Tailors, Dressmakers, and Custom Sewers who can bring unique designs to life. The successful candidates will interpret client orders, cut, sew, and finish garments to the highest standards of quality. Attention to detail and craftsmanship are essential.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify patterns to suit custom designs.
• Run fittings with clients to ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Utilize various sewing machines and tools effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any sewing or design-related issues.
• Keep track of production deadlines and meet delivery schedules.
• Train and mentor junior staff in sewing and fabric handling.
• Utilize pattern-making software where applicable.
• Support the overall goals of the production team.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate or Diploma in Clothing Production

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in tailoring or dressmaking.

Technical Skills

• Sewing

Soft Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience working with leather and fur: Hands-on experience in working with varied fabrics enhances sewing skill.
