Structural Engineer

Job Description

As our Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and implementing engineering solutions for various projects. You should possess excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that all projects are effectively delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to deliver accurate models of structures.
• Assess potential risks in the design and construction processes.
• Work towards sustainable solutions that minimize the environmental impact of projects.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship.
• Document changes and updates to the original design as necessary.
• Review and approve project contracts and specifications.
• Seek out and implement new engineering technologies and methodologies.
• Facilitate training workshops for staff on best practices and new technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer certification is advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Revit

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Structural Engineering Certification Board (SECB)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in earthquake and wind load analysis: Expertise in ensuring structural performance under extreme conditions.
• Software proficiency in Autodesk BIM 360: Hands-on experience with building information modeling software.
