Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects, designing and analyzing building structures to ensure their safety and functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural analysis methods and be proficient in using design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural design calculations for diverse project types.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on design development.
• Utilize CAD software to produce structural drawings.
• Analyze the effects of loads and stresses on structures.
• Conduct inspections during the construction phase.
• Assist in the preparation of bid documents and contracts.
• Research and apply new technologies and materials.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
• Build strong relationships with project stakeholders.
• Participate in professional development and training.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree or higher is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the field of structural engineering

• Project Management Software
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
