Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Advisor to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of legal principles and regulations, with the capability to manage compliance issues and provide strategic legal advice to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on corporate governance and compliance issues.
• Prepare legal documentation and correspondence effectively.
• Represent the company in negotiations and meetings for legal matters.
• Train staff on legal compliance and best practices.
• Analyze and mitigate legal risks associated with business strategies.
• Engage with external legal counsel and consultants when necessary.
• Contribute to the development and execution of legal strategies.
• Manage and oversee internal legal processes efficiently.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent qualification
• Postgraduate degree in Law preferred.

Experience

• 5 years of experience in legal advisory or compliance roles.

Certifications

• Compliance Management Certification
• Master in Law (LLM) is an advantage.

Languages

• English: Fluent
