Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical design, analysis, and product development. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of mechanical systems.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials for designs.
• Document all design changes and maintain records.
• Utilize FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools for design validation.
• Develop and execute project timelines and budgets.
• Facilitate communication between engineering teams.
• Review and approve manufacturing drawings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in product development

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with 3D printing technology: Experience in 3D printing and additive manufacturing processes.
