Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Gqeberha. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing mechanical systems that meet industry standards. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative engineering solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Design prototypes and oversee testing to ensure product reliability.
• Research and integrate new technologies into engineering projects.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical failures.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary materials and parts.
• Evaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Deliver presentations on project outcomes to stakeholders.
• Mentor interns and new hires in engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering projects

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling
• Engineering Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Collaboration

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) is advantageous

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with hydraulic systems design: Practical experience designing and implementing hydraulic systems.
