Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Urban Planner to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for developing urban designs and plans that promote sustainable communities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for enhancing urban environments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute urban projects with a focus on sustainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure project success.
  • Evaluate environmental impact assessments and urban policy implications.
  • Advocate for community needs in urban development discussions.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Utilize community feedback to refine urban planning projects.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of urban planning trends and legislation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, or related discipline
  • Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory
Experience
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in urban planning
