Job Description

We are seeking a Stave Mill Hand to operate machinery in the production of staves. The ideal candidate will demonstrate physical strength, good hand-eye coordination, and a keen eye for detail. Join a team where quality and craftsmanship are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery for optimal performance.
• Cut and shape timber correctly according to specifications.
• Check the quality of staves and remove any defects.
• Organize staves for efficient drying and storage.
• Conduct regular maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety protocols at all times to minimize risks.
• Work closely with the production team to achieve goals.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Training in woodworking or related field (advantageous)

Experience

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in woodworking or timber production: Experience in a similar environment will be advantageous.
