Job Description

As a Boat Pilot, your primary responsibility will be to navigate and operate various vessels safely and efficiently in diverse water environments. You will ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for passengers while adhering to maritime regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on the boat.
• Educate passengers about marine safety and local attractions.
• Actively monitor navigation systems and adjust as necessary.
• Work alongside the operations team to enhance overall experience and safety.

Requirements

Education

• A valid Boat Pilot License issued by the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA)

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience operating boats or vessels

Advantageous

• First Aid Certification: Additional certification in first aid and emergency response is highly advantageous.
• Experience in Maritime Tourism: Past experience in maritime tourism or passenger transportation preferred.
