Job Description

As a Family Support Specialist, you will provide critical assistance to families facing various challenges. Your role involves assessing needs, developing targeted support plans, and facilitating access to essential resources, ensuring that families achieve a stable and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and family dynamics.
  • Design and implement support plans tailored to individual family situations.
  • Facilitate access to social services and community networks.
  • Organize and lead workshops focusing on parenting skills and family well-being.
  • Work closely with schools and child welfare agencies to ensure holistic support.
  • Document all case histories and progress reports meticulously.
  • Represent client interests within multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff and interns in the field.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field
Experience
  • 3+ years experience in family social work or community outreach
