Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Civil Rights Advocate to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and protecting civil rights through community engagement, advocacy, and legal support. You will work closely with marginalized communities to ensure their voices are heard and their rights upheld.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate training for community members on their civil rights.
• Support clients in navigating the legal system regarding civil rights disputes.
• Establish partnerships with organizations aligned with civil rights objectives.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy programs and initiatives.
• Create outreach materials to educate the public on civil rights.
• Offer consulting services to communities on civil rights matters.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Justice, Human Rights or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in civil rights advocacy
