Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe distribution of medications and providing expert pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient medication needs and offer professional advice.
  • Prepare and process insurance claims for prescriptions.
  • Conduct health screenings and liaise with patients for follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Implement strategies for the effective management of pharmacy operations.
  • Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities.
  • Research and recommend pharmaceutical products to enhance patient care.
  • Handle prescription errors and implement corrective actions.
  • Educate pharmacy students and interns on best practices.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement projects.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field
  • PhD in Pharmacy is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years in a hospital or retail pharmacy environment
