Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Food Scientist to lead our product development initiatives in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food technology and quality assurance, with a passion for innovation in food products.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop new food processing techniques.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies on compliance and certification.
  • Design and execute experiments to validate formulations.
  • Manage product lifecycle from ideation through launch.
  • Provide technical support to production and sales teams.
  • Evaluate and implement sustainable practices in product development.
  • Engage in product cost analysis and optimization.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
  • PhD is an advantage

  • 5+ years of experience in food technology
