Job Description

We are on the hunt for a passionate Mechanical Engineer to enhance our engineering team in Pretoria. In this role, you will leverage your mechanical engineering knowledge to design, test, and refine components and systems that meet client needs. Your expertise will contribute to the full product development life cycle, from concept to production, ensuring functionality and cost-efficiency in your designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and implement design changes as necessary.
• Ensure documentation conforms to engineering standards.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to foster innovation.
• Develop maintenance procedures for mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to meet project deadlines.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• Additional certifications in project management are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management Software

• Team leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
