Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and enhance our supply chain operations in Johannesburg. This role is pivotal in developing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of products. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in supply chain management and will be responsible for leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the supply chain processes from procurement to distribution.
  • Evaluate and improve vendor performance through regular assessments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure effective stock management.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.
  • Prepare reports on supply chain performance and present to senior management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • MBA or relevant certification would be an advantage
Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain management with a focus on logistics and operations
