Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Legal Counsel to join our firm in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, advising on legal risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help us navigate complex legal landscapes and protect our clients' interests effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance across various business units.
• Initiate and manage contracts, ensuring all documents are accurate and compliant.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel when needed.
• Train staff on legal policies and compliance measures.
• Evaluate and improve legal processes to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain legal records and documentation.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent law degree
• Additional qualifications such as LLM are advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years in a similar role with a focus on corporate law
