Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our team in Pretoria. Your main responsibilities will include advising clients on legal matters, preparing legal documents, and ensuring our operations comply with the law. You should have a thorough understanding of legal principles and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate governance and compliance issues.
• Review and negotiate service agreements and supplier contracts.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential legal issues.
• Support mergers and acquisitions from a legal perspective.
• Monitor changes in legislation that may affect operations.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Prepare legal opinions on various matters.
• Participate in strategy meetings to align legal objectives with business goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB)
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in corporate law.
