Job Description

As a Legal Counsel in Johannesburg, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, compliance, and corporate governance. Your role will involve liaising with various departments to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Assess and advise on legal risks associated with business operations.
• Review and provide updates on current legal issues and new regulations.
• Negotiate terms and conditions in agreements with clients and suppliers.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure legal alignment.
• Prepare legal documentation and ensure proper filing.
• Participate in compliance audits and prepare reports.
• Provide guidance on employment law and related matters.
• Monitor and report on changes in legislation that may affect the organisation.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Law is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in a legal advisory role
