Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Legal Counsel to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will provide legal guidance on various matters, including contract negotiations, compliance, and risk management. This role requires extensive knowledge of South African law and the ability to interpret complex legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of company compliance with legal standards.
• Advise management on legal implications of business strategies.
• Review employment-related documentation for compliance.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders as needed.
• Develop training materials for employee legal compliance.
• Oversee internal investigations related to legal issues.
• Support the development of legal compliance programs.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent degree
• Postgraduate diploma in Corporate Law or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience as in-house counsel

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
