Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Bloemfontein team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the design and analysis of mechanical components, systems, and processes. You will work closely with project managers and clients to develop innovative solutions that meet rigorous standards of quality and performance. Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical designs using CAD software.
• Conduct performance testing and validation of mechanical systems.
• Work with suppliers to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Lead design reviews and present ideas to stakeholders.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Support the production team during the manufacturing process.
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with industry standards: Knowledge of ISO standards relevant to mechanical engineering.
