Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our team in Johannesburg, where you will provide legal advice, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and assist in contract negotiations. Your expertise will help us navigate complex legal environments effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the legal aspects of corporate transactions and mergers.
  • Provide guidance during internal investigations and audits.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with data protection laws.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel on specific cases.
  • Advise on issues related to competition law and intellectual property.
  • Assist in the preparation of board resolutions and corporate filings.
  • Monitor changes in legislation that may impact the organization.
  • Support the development of policies regarding corporate social responsibility.
  • Facilitate communication between various teams to ensure legal alignment.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on legal matters.

Requirements

Education
  • LLB or equivalent legal qualification
  • Admission as an attorney is preferred
