As a Veterinary Surgeon at our Stellenbosch clinic, you will deliver comprehensive veterinary services including examinations, surgeries, and emergency care. You will play a key role in educating pet owners about preventative care and fostering long-term client relationships. Responsibilities

• Diagnose illnesses and injuries in pets, providing appropriate medical care.
• Perform surgical operations specializing in soft tissue and orthopedics.
• Assist in the development and implementation of clinic protocols.
• Conduct wellness examinations and preventative medicine efforts.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about care options.
• Lead outreach activities to educate the community on responsible pet ownership.
• Oversee the training of new staff regarding clinic protocols.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
• Participate in veterinary consultations and case discussions.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced veterinarians and support staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting

Certifications

• Member of the South African Veterinary Association
• Certification in advanced veterinary practices desired
