Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice and guidance on a range of legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of South African law, particularly in corporate governance and compliance. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in advising on risk management and legal compliance while supporting our clients’ strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Advise management on legal risks and implications of business decisions.
• Review and edit legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Develop training programs on legal compliance for staff.
• Manage and oversee legal disputes and litigation.
• Provide guidance on intellectual property issues and trademarks.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• LLB from a recognized university
• Master's degree in Corporate Law is advantageous

Experience

• 7+ years in a corporate legal department or law firm.
