Job Description

We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer who will be responsible for promoting health and safety practices within our organization. The ideal candidate will monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain an effective health and safety management system.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct training sessions on emergency procedures and safety awareness.
• Evaluate and update safety protocols and procedures regularly.
• Initiate health and safety campaigns to promote employee engagement and awareness.
• Monitor the use of safety equipment and protective gear.
• Collaborate with external safety consultants for best practices.
• Prepare regular reports on safety performance for management review.
• Investigate and resolve safety complaints and concerns from employees.
• Facilitate health and safety meetings and encourage staff participation.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• Degree in Environmental Health or Safety Management is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years experience in health and safety roles
