Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to optimize our supply chain operations in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics planning, inventory management, and a strong understanding of supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create efficient logistical strategies to streamline operations.
• Oversee shipping and transport activities to ensure accuracy.
• Perform inventory checks and manage stock levels to align with organizational goals.
• Evaluate supply chain weaknesses and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize logistics.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on logistics metrics.
• Develop best practices for logistics and supply chain management.
• Support the management in day-to-day logistics operations.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives in logistics activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Postgraduate in Logistics or Supply Chain is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of proven experience in logistics or supply chain roles

• Project Management Tools
• ERP Systems

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in FMCG logistics: Experience managing logistics for fast-moving consumer goods.
• Knowledge of lean management principles: Familiarity with lean principles to minimize waste in logistics processes.
