We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to assess and evaluate insurance applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, an understanding of risk assessment, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Analyze applicants' financial and personal information to assess risk.
• Utilize specialized software to gather data and make informed decisions.
• Work with the claims team to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Assist in training junior underwriters and support staff.
• Monitor and analyze market trends to adjust underwriting policies accordingly.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and agents when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in insurance underwriting
