Job Description

As a Roller Operator, you will be tasked with operating heavy machinery to compact earth, gravel, concrete, or asphalt on construction sites. You will work closely with the construction team to ensure quality compaction for road durability. Your attention to detail will ensure all projects meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate different types of compaction machinery, ensuring maximum efficiency.
• Interpret blueprints and site plans to execute the work accurately.
• Ensure proper leveling of materials to meet project specifications.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow safety protocols strictly.
• Support project timelines by effectively managing machine operation.
• Assist other team members in lifting and moving materials as needed.
• Ensure work complies with local regulations and standards.
• Keep track of work hours and machinery usage for reporting purposes.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
• Help maintain a clean and efficient work environment.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Additional certifications in construction machinery training preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
