Job Description

As a Wildlife Veterinarian at the Wildlife Conservation Trust, your work will focus on providing veterinary care to native species, conducting fieldwork, and assisting in the development of conservation strategies. Responsibilities

  • Assess and triage wildlife brought to the facility.
  • Work alongside a team of wildlife rehabilitators and volunteers.
  • Educate the public on wildlife issues and conservation efforts.
  • Participate in emergency response efforts for wildlife incidents.
  • Collaborate with local wildlife authorities for animal reintroduction efforts.
  • Document all veterinary procedures and outcomes thoroughly.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or Veterinary Medicine
  • Postgraduate qualification in Wildlife Vet Medicine preferred
Experience
  • 3 years of experience with wildlife care in a veterinary capacity
