Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist to join our vibrant team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient consultations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes and promote health awareness in the community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package medications according to standard procedures.
• Respond to patient inquiries and address their concerns regarding medications.
• Stay updated on new medications, treatments, and relevant health guidelines.
• Ensure the pharmacy's compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support medication adherence programs and initiatives.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on medication storage and dispensation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Additional certifications are a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in retail pharmacy

• Medication Management

Certifications

• Advanced Medication Therapy Management
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Leadership experience: Ability to mentor and supervise pharmacy technicians and interns.
