Boat Operator

Job Description

As a Boat Operator, you will be responsible for the safe navigation and operation of our vessels across various water environments, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and providing outstanding service to our passengers.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of vessels and manage onboard safety.
• Facilitate the maintenance and cleanliness of the boats.
• Evaluate routes and monitor navigational systems.
• Provide support in emergency situations according to protocols.
• Interact with clients to enhance service and experience.
• Maintain records related to operational activities and maintenance.
• Train and guide other crew members on operational best practices.
• Engage in further responsibilities as directed by the management.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Certificate in Nautical Science preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in boat operation and navigation.

Technical Skills

• GPS Navigation
• Seamanship

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• SKS or Yachtmaster Qualification
• Advanced First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Hands-on Boat Repair Skills: Ability to perform basic repairs on boat engines and systems.
