Job Description

As a Machine Learning Engineer in Cape Town, you will lead projects aimed at building efficient and scalable machine learning applications. Your role will involve exploring new algorithms, optimizing code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment of AI solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners to identify use cases for machine learning projects.
• Prototype and evaluate new machine learning models to assess their feasibility.
• Utilize cloud platforms for deploying machine learning applications.
• Participate in the deployment and monitoring of machine learning models in production.
• Develop and maintain documentation and procedure manuals related to machine learning systems.
• Advocate for the use of data-driven strategies across the company.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
• PhD in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning roles
